Premier Entertainment is a mobile DJ business that services a variety of clients: wedding couples on the biggest day of their lives, bars and restaurants looking for interactive and exciting game day or late night entertainment, conventions looking to spice up their entertainment offerings, and many other clients celebrating special milestones or achievements in their lives. From the moment they are contacted by clients to the final song of their night, everything runs smoothly and flawlessly to ensure they have a peaceful and ‘set-it-and-forget-it’ day with their guests having the time of their lives. In addition to offering wedding services, they also provide up-lighting, ceremony services, general knowledge/pop culture and music trivia along with music bingo. Premier Entertainment makes impactful memories for their clients through the use of incredible personalization techniques that make lifetime-lasting memories. They are passionate about providing the best and most professional entertainment experience for all of their clients!
What sets Premier Entertainment apart from their competition is the training their DJs do in workshops that further the understanding of what it means to be a true Master of Ceremonies and not just a DJ behind a table with a microphone. Many can claim they are a ‘Professional DJ’ and/or Master of Ceremonies, while few can point to any sort of training to back it up. The pitfalls a client encounters are when a DJ has done the same wedding 500 times. When your Master of Ceremonies commands the attention of the audience with proper performance techniques, it’s less obtrusive and provides an enhanced experience for guests.
Premier Entertainment can also personalize several things about a Wedding day that provides for a unique experience. First, they can tell a couple’s Love Story. They glean information through a questionnaire and weave it into a 4-6 minute story told to the guests. Second, we can do personalized Grand introductions to tell the tale of the people standing with the couple on the most important day of their life. Finally, they offer a Custom-edited first Dance Song where they interview each half of the newly-engaged couple separately, chop up their words, and overlay it on top of their first dance song. Each person in the room hears it for the first time on the couple’s Wedding Day.
Chris Ortleib is the owner of Premier Entertainment. He has been a working DJ since 1993 and has been serving clients in Central Ohio since 2005. Chris remembers the first time it dawned on him that entertaining people was something he wanted to do and developed a passion for, and ever since that moment, he has done everything to make sure entertaining people was part of his life. Specifically, he loves weddings because of the moments he gets to create for his clients. He lives for the laughs and tears when telling a couple’s Love Story, the love he sees in the newlywed’s eyes when they stare at each other during their first dance, or the absolute honor a parent feels getting to dance with their child on their Wedding Day.
Aside from his business, Chris loves to be outside. Camping, traveling, and family vacations are some of his favorite activities. Chris is a very family oriented guy. His partner (Patty), daughter (Kaitlyn), and son (Jude) form a very blended family. Chris volunteers with the Liberty Volunteer Boosters Association to support his daughter’s band and music programs. He also volunteers with the Ohio Wesleyan chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon to help mentor their members. Music is something that is close to his heart. He marched two summers in The Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps from Toledo, Ohio and says he learned way more about life than he did about playing music. He will always love playing music, but realizes he will most likely always be an average player.
One of Chris’ favorite places is Yabo’s Tacos. He “ADORES their margaritas and the food is good too! It is actually where he prefers to hold his initial consultation with couples – he loves to keep it casual! When it comes to choosing vendors, Chris offers up the advice to “go with your gut”. “Trust the biggest day of your life to someone with whom you’d like to share a margarita and tacos!”
“Chris was absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish. We had our DJ cancel on us relatively short notice, when I found that Chris was available, he got immediately to work, setting up multiple calls to go over every last detail that comes up in a wedding. He had an incredibly organized system of collecting our information and narrowing in all our music tastes and song requests. He spent a lot of time getting to know us and asking us about our wedding party so he could do a really detailed and thoughtful introduction of everyone at the reception. We had a very involved wedding sound-wise, with a lot of different musicians and artists performing in different areas and he made sure that everything was set up and sounding great from start to finish. Couldn’t recommend him more highly! Not to mention a very friendly, honest, and down to earth guy. I felt one hundred percent confident trusting him with all the details when it came to our wedding, and he made the entire evening seamless.” -Siobhan C.
“Words cannot describe how pleased I am with the result of my wedding because of Chris and Premier Entertainment! The reason why we hired him in the first place was because of the love story he creates and the personalized first dance song he makes, that made our wedding special for us. Chris did everything and more to deliver a perfect evening for us! Even in this crazy pandemic, he made sure our wedding went smoothly and made us all have a great time. Throughout our entire experience with Chris, he made us feel that he genuinely cared about us and our visions for our wedding. He has a wonderful personality and it was a pleasure to work with him. You WILL NOT find a better person or company to DJ your wedding, I am sure about that!.” -Sydney M.
